Puerto Rico Destination Wedding | Madeline + Javier
Every time I have Puerto Rico Destination Wedding is such a treat for me. Having the chance to visit my island and do what I love, I'll take it every time. This time was more exciting. I was going to shoot the wedding of my dear friend (and former Maid of Honor).
I knew Madeline back when I was in college, she was my student advisor. We became really good friends working together during many freshmen orientation weeks. She helped me during some really tough times and witness when my hubby and I started falling for each other. It was no brainer choosing her as our Maid of Honor. But this time, it was her turn. And boy, were we excited. Nobody in the world deserve such a perfect day than her.
Madeline and Javier has known each other for the longest time. Javier is the brother-in-Law of Madeline's best friend, the "little" brother. A couple of broken hearts later, they reconnected. Javier treats her like a queen without stop being his goofy-sarcastic self. Looking at them together, you can tell how much they complement each other.
They opted for a early afternoon ceremony and reception at Ermita de Espinar de Aguada. This modern church built around the original 1500's structure was a really neat canvas for their photos. You can still see part of the original rock walls and floor! Madeline was walked down the aisle by her 3 nephews. Each one took his turn to walk a portion of the aisle with her. At the end, a very smiley Javier waited for her. After the emotional ceremony, everybody gathered at the exit to received the newlyweds with the traditional Rice throwing. Beautiful words and happy tears from close friends and family started the reception, a very relax and casual affair. After some group photos, Madeline and Javier spend the rest of the time enjoying their guests!

Both Madeline's parents are deceased but we know they were with her!
Javier's Dad was picking up Madeline, she decided to do a First Look with him!
At the end, it was exactly how they both imagine: A day surrounded by their loved ones and full of big smiles all around!
