March For Our Lives - Why I Marched
This past March 24th I joined Parkland community and marched at the March For Our Lives. This march was organized by the survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, that happened on February 14th, 2018. The survivors, students from the school, are standing up and organizing to say Enough Is Enough and asking the government for a change in the Gun policies. Did you know that in many states, you don't need a background check to get an assault rifle? That is what these kids want. But unfortunately, the government is ignoring their plea to even start the conversation. So they decided to go start this movement. They decided to march.

I joined the march because I believe we need to really sit down and brainstorm this problem. Thoughts and prayers are not enough anymore. This problem is one that has a lot of pieces that need to get fixed at the same time. I marched because I think we need to review the requirements for getting a military grade semi Automatic rifle. If you need that to hunt, you are not a very good hunter. I marched because I believe we need better mental health. Because it is time that senators and representative listen to the people they represent, not the one that gave them more money. I marched because I believe these kids...
